Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation

About OQHF

The Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the American Quarter Horse industry. We are committed to supporting education through scholarships, supporting those in crisis, and supporting equine welfare. The Foundation has the ability to grow and touch thousands of lives, just as the All American Quarter Horse Congress has grown over the last 50 years.

Pillars of Work

Scholarship - The OQHA Scholarship Committee was established to provide opportunities for deserving OQHA or OQHYA members who wish to further their education in a college, university, or other institute of higher learning. Each year, the OQHA President shall appoint a scholarship committee consisting of at least, but not limited to, two OQHA Directors. Scholarshops (both new and renewals) will be awarded upon recommendation of the scholarship committee and approval of the OQHA Board of Directors, dependent upon monies available in the annual budget.

Crisis Assistance - The Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation's Crisis Fund assists those affected by sudden and demonstrable hardship, diaster, or serious physical illness, based on proven financial need.

Education - In alignment with our mission, the Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation is proud to offer the Congress Classroom to all exhibitors at each year's All American Quarter Horse Congress. Thanks to generous donors, the Congress Classroom is equipped with complementary wifi for students to have a quiet environment to complete schoolwork while in Columbus. The classroom is open each day of the horse show and is located in the on the second floor of the Brown Sheep Barn, on the west side.

Health & Welfare - The Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the welfare and standard of care for the American Quarter Horse and all animals in the equine industry.
