Recap of OQHYA's April Meeting & Educational Event

Posted: April 19th, 2021

On April 12th, the Ohio Quarter Horse Youth Association held their first in-person meeting since the Covid pandemic began. The meeting was held at the Ohio Quarter Horse headquarters with remote Zoom options available. The meeting started as usual with the completion of ordinary business.

After the conclusion of the business meeting, the educational event began. Kelly Richmond Pope is the Creator of the film "All the Queens Horses," and US Marshall Jason Wojdylo joined via zoom. They discussed the investigation and gave background information into the arrest and convictions in the Rita Crundwell case and so many details around the custody, care, and sale of so many horses.

OQHA youth also learned about their careers in finance and accounting and as U.S. Marshall. "It was fascinating being able to hear this information firsthand and interacting with both of these individuals," states Bella D'Onofrio, 2021 OQHYA reporter. First, many thanks to the youth advisors for making this presentation and interaction possible. Secondly, we would like to thank Kelly and Jason for taking the time to share their experiences and answer our questions.
