OQHA Annual Picnic held at new headquarters

Posted: June 18th, 2018

The Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) held its annual picnic at the new headquarters Monday evening on Quarter Horse Drive in Columbus, Ohio. Nearly 200 people were in attendance for some home made beef brisket and bratwursts prepared by the OQHA staff as well as many delightful side dishes brought by fellow members.

The Ohio  Quarter Horse Youth Association (OQHYA), Ohio Amateur Horse Association (OAQHA) and OQHA board members gathered for a picnic style meal and yard games at 6 p.m. followed by the individual monthy board meetings at 7 p.m. Thank you to Kyle Flatter and Matt Claypool for manning the grill throughout the hot night!

OQHYA Advisor Valerie Sturgeon guided AQHA Youth World Show attendees through their paperwork and project preparations for the upcoming show in August.

Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation (OQHF) President, Cathy Martz announced the 2018 Scholarship recipients as members enjoyed their meals. Congratulations to all scholarship recipients!

Good luck to all OQHA members as you continue on in the summer show season! For all up-to-date information on OQHA, visit www.oqha.com as well as our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram pages.
